Intersection; notes from Drew.

Amazon sells more eBooks than printed books.
160 billion emails are sent daily, 97% of which are spam.
24 hours of YouTube video are uploaded every minute.
1 billion computers and 2 billion TV's are in use at any one time.

Technology is not a bad thing. God let us create technology to glorify Him.

Colossians 1:16
(For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him.)

We distort it into an idol.

What is an idol??
"...anything more important to you than God, anything that absorbs your heart and imagination more than God, anything you seek to give you what only God can give." -- Tim Keller

Our hearts are made to worship. Right when you wake up, what do you do first? Check your phone? Or thank God that He allowed you to wake up that day?
What's the number one thing you do with free time?
Whatever you spend your time doing, how can you replace that with Jesus?

There is no such thing as multitasking, only division of attention.

[Update January 4, 2014: Wow, realizing my old notes consist of all the rhetorical questions that pastors would ask us. Hm.]
